"He [Ferguson] has a license but that does not matter under the strict state law Ferguson helped pass."
Be careful what you ask for; you might get it. Bet that he didn't that the law of unintended consequences was going to catch him.  Hopefully a felony conviction will pull his license and he can live like the average NY citizen.

More than one factor makes me think he will not get the felony the average person would.
