Hi all. I'm a new member; just signed-up (had a hell of a time with that Biden question).
I moved to DE this past July from NJ. Sooo glad to be out of there. Been shooting since I was a kid, but Jersey sure makes it tough. >:( Looking forward to obtaining my CCDW (once I get to know 5 people in NCC).
Anyway, just wanted to make a quick intro. Hope everyone has a happy new year.

Welcome and many good years in DE for you. I moved out of the PRNJ over 20yrs ago.

Welcome. I happily moved from NJ myself just a few years ago!

Welcome @ChrisCar. I am also an escapee but came from the state to the west rather than the northeast, i.e., PRMD.

Chriscar,
Hate to burst your bubble but NCC is primarily a left wing county. They are the hardest to get a DECCW in. and, harder to find 5 people that want you to have a gun. Nearly all of our legislators from NCC are anti-gun or rated very low by the NRA(mostly D to F-). Just a word to the wise. But welcome.

Welcome. Stay in touch and visit here often. The five references is sure a pain for newcomers. The five must be from your county. Prior to the 1980s it was from your election district. So that does make it better. Still a pain.
Remember that open carry is an option except in Dover. You can write to the Chief of Police and get a letter to cover you there. I carried in my vehicle until I received my CCW. Didn't open carry on the street though.
Stay safe.
