Hopefully it won't take long.  Tell us about yourself.
My first thoughts about your post is you live in the Pike Creek area, so you know what a traffic jam looks like.  There is a chance you have deer eating your flora.  There is no where convenient to go shooting.   Several of your neighbors are liberal and against gun ownership.
How'd I do???
In any event, welcome aboard.

@jstgsn, you were implying "legally"? right?

Welcome aboard, @lelam.   We are an uptight, serious group here.

But of course I was implying "legally".  I never mentioned anything about super colibri .22s or CBs to avoid angry neighbors.

And as far as "up tight" and serious, I did seriously get a bit tight last night.  Morning was ruff.   :o

Thanks for the welcome. You ar correct, Limestone Road is a can be terrible. I've only had deer jerky ( good stuff ). 36 yrs old, I work for W.L Gore & Associate. I've been wanting to apply for a ccw for some years now and my neighbor finally talked me into it. I thought all the prework was the hard part but now finding the wait to be the hardest part of the whole process.

Lelam, there used to be a target range just inside Pa that had a quarry and shooting range.  Nothing fancy and I think it was called Avondale rod and gun????  The quarry was a hoot as it had huge fish swimming around that had been well trained in lures v food.  You could swim, picnic, and shoot.  The range was single shot only but still worked well.
On a more serious note, there are several things you have to start thinking about.  Number one is security.  If you are bringing a gun into your home you want to make sure no one else has access to it, other than those who you want to have access.  So home security, weapon security, and then training, ammo storage, cleaning station, and on and on.  You will find tons of information on this site.  And like every other site on the internet, most of it good, but some not so much.  (my information is a good example as sometimes I am struck brilliant and should not be listened to.  Just ask my wife!)
Have you thought about weaponry?  There is a good chance several on this forum will have a suggestion or two, or three, or .......you know what I mean.
Keep us posted.

Well a Glock 29 10mm is what I currently have. I've had it for 15 years now. I am waiting on the new Glock 42 .380 to hit the shelves. I have had the Galco royal guard for this side arm but never carried. I haven't been into firearms much since I was 21. The world is going crazy and I feel it's time to get educated, knowledgable of firearms, and learn the skills to protect myself and my love ones.

Same here, on both counts. I have other handguns, but the G29 follows me everywhere...

Ha! Joke's on you Moosie... I made a deal with this guy a few years ago and it's only costing me $200 / month (introductory rate). He said I'm one of the very few guaranteed to get out alive! Yep, feeling quite proud of myself for being smart enough to jump on that deal!  ;D
