Hi
I am looking for an instructor to qualify me for HR-218/Retired LEO.
Sussex/Kent county preferred.
I called Shooters Choice they have no qualifications scheduled.
Thank you

Under HR 218 you have to be a RETIRED LEO, not just a former LEO.
I would suggest you contact the Delaware State Police as I'm pretty sure they can put you on to the right party to get training and permit.

Shooter's Choice tells me that they "may" have a class in August. I am in the same boat. Retired from DOC and cannot find a COPT qualified instructor and other departments are not willing to let me fire with their instructors for qualification.

Don't know if anything has changed, but maybe you could contact Kirk Marino to see if he can help or offer any ideas.
He's in Sussex County.
-
Try Radnor. He is NCC, but may be able to help or suggest someone.

Reviving a thread that's almost a year old...
I cannot provide 218 training. Wish I could

Been a while since HR-218 passed, so here's a reminder:

I asked a retired police officer friend and was told that Worcester County, Maryland Sheriff office has a class in August for this.
