anyone going to the gun show in new castle next weekend.at NUR Shrine - 198 S Dupont Hwy
Hours: Sat. 9am - 5pm, Sun. 9am - 3pm
-
Been there a few times. Not sure it's worth the bucks to get in. Not many bargains there.
-
Been there once. Not worth it to me. Would much rather go to a larger show.
-
How much is it to get in. i'm not really looking to buy something, just want to put my hands on as many as i can to get a feel of my next purchace
-
how about the one in allentown on the same weekend?
-
It's 5 dollars to get in the door I have been there a couple of times the first one was small but some decent vendors there. The second time there was a lot more vendors still 5 dollars to get in there were a LOT of guns, knives and some other tables in there. If you are looking to just go and look at stuff it is worth the 5 dollars to get in.
-
yeah thats my only intention, if i see something i want i'll ask Chris if he can get it for me after i leave the show
-
probably just better off going to Cabelas then. It's free to handle stuff.
-
I always enjoy the show. Local, cheap entry, and not too large. One of my favorite knife makers is always there, "Thunder Ridge" (Billy Meekins) out of Belair MD. The guy who is always in the front corner has a lot of nice old rifles. I was eyeing a Spanish Cetme last time I was there, but didn't bite. Won't find that at Cabelas.

i'll be there with my wife, i'll have on a black tee shirt that says freak show.. if anyone see's me, come up and say hello.
-
Timonium is also the 15th and 16th.

I went this morning hoping to get to check out some of Billy's work. Alas, he wasn't there. I want to get a smaller fixed blade for EDC and was hoping to be able to get something unique and locally made.

Jonathan, I sent you a video so you can see what the knife dealer looks like. He's usually toward the back, but not the guys on the stage, or just in front of it (cheap Chinese stuff). He sells a lot of damascus.
-
just as a comparison, the dealer by the door is in lower DE, his prices are 50 to 100 more than Cabela's. and Chris's prices are way better than Cabela's. I did enable me to put my hands on a lot of guns. Foud out pretty quickly i do not want the SA Mod 2, just way to big to carry. will look for something with a 4 inch barrel.

Who and where is "Chris?"

Who and where is "Chris?"
Chris is in Middletown and is The Man for this area! ;D He runs the business from his home, is knowledgable, pleasant and fair. Inspect and ask questions if you'd like or tell him what you want and if he doesn't have it in stock he can get it in pretty quick. Kick back on a couch filling out paperwork relaxing while he calls in for background checks. :)

The guy, right off of the stage area, with the Indian made stuff, was there. He had a huge display set up, but I was looking for Billy to check out his stuff. I was able to get his numbers from the video you sent me. I suppose I'll have to call him and set up a time to go look at his knives. I just hate having to disarm and venture into Cuba on the Chesapeake to do so!
