Welcome! I'm new myself but there is great information and really cool people here. Take a look around.  5 to 7 months?! The guesses' from Kent County are all over the place. My wife and I filed April 15th, and are still watching the mail box. We were told no longer than 90 days. Some recent filers said they were told 5 to 8 weeks. Who really knows. Be patient and use the time to get ready to carry so when that magically comes you'll be ready to exercise your rights immediately.

Welcome. Wish I could get my wife to file for hers.

Is she against it or something? Took mine about 6 months to go from guns are bad and I want nothing to do with going to the range to I want my own gun and my permit and I cannot keep her off the range.  I just let her come to it in her own time while educating her about firearms.  She grew up in a family where guns are the devils advocate.  They hate that there are guns in the house and will not come visit us because of that.

That's great to hear. I cannot convince my wife to file. The cost and time investment isn't worth it to her. Unfortunately, it would take something tragic close to home to motivate her to apply. She's slowly coming around as she has to deal with the general public at the hospital.

Just remember keep it simple mine was very hard to get to come around.  But I just expressed my opinions to her one time and then the things you see in this world.  She will come around sooner or later

Ah!  You got your first lesson!  Perhaps you can take a lesson from my wife about effective nagging.  But really, welcome to the best forum!

Welcome and congrats to all.  No matter how long the wait is, it will be the longest wait of your life.  Hang in there.

Wish I could get my wife to file too.  She has no interest in it.  I'll keep trying.
