Just took my class, qualify at range Sat and the other paper wil be ready next week to send in app. Next on list will be to get a CC gun that I will train with.

Welcome @steveo.  We are happy to answer any questions that you may have. As you may have already discovered, your permit turn-around time is dependent on your county of residence. As for your EDC, find a piece and a compatible holster that is comfortable enough to always carry.

Do yourself a favor take it to the courthouse in Wilmington they will check it before you turn it in to make sure everything is in proper order I waited 5 months for my permit to get here.   AG's office called a friend the other day to confirm his reason for applying.

As I said before in another thread, this is the time of the year that renewals are being processed. They are usually done first. The there is the fact that new applications are at an all time high. There has been no additional personnel hire to handle this load. So probably you will be waiting a good while. If they tell you it may take 6 months, I'd say that's probably right. If it comes in sooner you can be happy, happy, happy!
