Questions on actual permit

I understood that when your permit comes it usually 2 permits one to carry and one to put in lock box in case you lose the original.  Does anyone know if what I thought was right or wrong.

For what its worth,  I talked to retired LE that told me to treat it like a drivers license.  If I wouldn't alter or copy my drivers license (red flag) then I'm not touching my CCDW.

Obleo,  Looking at the fine quality of it I would question its authenticity if I were a LEO in another state checking because you are carrying.
