Looks like it was setup pretty good with the training and support a program like this requires. Hiring security guards for this job is a huge waste of money and often they are not where they need to be anyways. Having the teachers properly armed and trained and spread throughout the school is a much better solution.

I saw that on the news an also read it on a news feed online.
I hope the story get wide publicity and more school districts follow suite.

(AP) — Arkansas school districts can't use a little-known state law to employ teachers and staff as guards who can carry guns on campus, the state's attorney general said Thursday in an opinion that likely ends a district's plan to arm more than 20 employees when school starts later this year.

He might be out of a job. States like Arkansas are starting to see there are very few true conservative democrats left ( the AR ag is a dem) and I think they value their guns more than staying "yellow dog democrats"
