Just to increase my own understanding of the CCW community:
How often do you carry?
Do you carry all the time, just if going to certain areas, etc.?
Keep in mind this is from a beginner, still getting used to carrying. Thanks all!
-
I carry any time I can as long as its a place its legal to carry. Remember your guns no good if its home in your safe.
-
I don"t leave the house with out a gun on my hip or in my pocket. It would be nice to go with the certain areas approach but trouble can be anywhere, even in your house while you pull into your drive way.
-
I carry everywhere I'm legally allowed to do so. For the areas I'm not allowed to carry... well, it depends on where it is, but I'll just avoid travelling there if I can at all help it. Now, heading to Vegas.. well.. yeah, I'm leaving it home. :) LOL.
I never want to be caught in a situation saying, I wish I had brought my firearm with me... think of all the wacko nut job stories you read about out there of the random places where shootings happen. Gym, grocery store, restaurants, etc... if just ONE person had been carrying concealed, perhaps more people would be alive.
Oh, and I love this one (and yes, I have mucho respect for all law enforcement... it's just the reality of it)... I carry because when only seconds count, the cops are just minutes away. :)

Boarder, I can not confirm or deny your suspicion on my smileys! Lol
If you see any baby smileys, they aren't mine, I've never seen them, and I don't know how they got there.

How often do you carry?
Do you carry all the time,
All the time! 24/7....even when I travel......except where restricted
I also train the way I carry!
-
Hey boarder2280, do you currently carry? And if so, how long have you been carrying?
-
Unless I'm going to the People's Republic of Maryland, or the NJSSR, I am always armed when I leave my home.
In well over a million miles and 32 years of driving, I have never had an accident that required a seat belt, but I always wear it. The one day I decide not to wear it, some genius will run a stop sign and hit my ratty old cop car.
Carrying your firearm is the same thing. On any given day, you are unlikely to need it. If you decide not to carry it, guess what just might happen?
-
Great analogy grey

I carry almost every time I leave the house except when I go to work which is odd because I am frequently required carry a gun at work. I am a correctional officer and it is against the law to have privately owned firearms in the parking lot.
-
Corbon,
I do carry and have been since the beginning of this year. I am very new to carrying (finally live in a place long enough to make it worth my while), but have been around guns my entire life.
I got the response I expected with this question, just wanted to make sure that my thinking wasn't off.

Glad to see that you made it into the club. If you ever have any doubts that you are carrying too often or in too many places -- just pick up a copy of the paper. TNJ stories make you want to stay home with the doors locked.
