Note mention of an indoor archery range.
How the already strained road system around the mall will handle the increased traffic
is beyond my understanding.
While they are seldom my first choice for purchases, it will be fun to be able to play with
those items that I am considering.
-
I am looking forward to it!
-
We're hoping they have the café inside... we need some bison bratwurst with kraut!
-
I'm sure they will be hit with the Markell/Biden gun ban. Like Wal-Mart, not pistols, no ammo. Or does anyone know yet?
-
Can't wait for it to open... Never been to a Cabela's or Bass Pro Shop before...

looks like they will have a gun library, so I would say yes they will have pistols for sale. I wouldn't think politics has anything to do with these stores not selling pistols. I think Walmart, Dicks....is a corporate thing.

They will have a cafe.
I second the comment about roads and parking
Just would love to see Dicks go out of business.
-
I was at a Cabela's in WV last year and saw several people open carrying. The staff there seemed to be OK with it.
-
I doubt Dicks will go out of business due to Cabelas opening.
-
I have only been in the Dover store of Dick's Sporting Goods, but it was a good experience. I bought a rifle and ammo.
-
Dicks is no friend of the RKBA. Right after Sandy Hook they pulled Modern Sporting rifles
from the shelves. They demand a photo ID for ammo purchases for the neferious purpose of keeping New Jersey residents from buying ammo. Even though such sales are perfectly legal in Delaware.
They denied ammo purchases to LEGAL non citizen residents. Even though the law in no way bars such sales.
They deserve not a cent of our money.
-
Agreed 1000%!
As a longtime legal permanent resident from Canada I will not spend 1 penny at Dick's Sporting Good ever again. I've had people tell me to 'simply say yes' when prompted to answer if I'm a US citizen. Can't and won't do that as its a federal crime to state US citizenship if you aren't.
They discriminate against me and every other legal resident in this country. Nothing they have can't be purchased elsewhere, most for a better or matching price.
-
would do without, rather than buy from Dick's

I stopped by Dick's Dover store not too long after it opened and I will say I was very disappointed.
In my Opinion they didn't have much merchandise, for a new store it should have been packed ???
There was not much Ammo in stock at the time like everywhere else. ( I buy Ammo online when priced to sell ) or Walmart as I can walk there.
I think my wife spent more time looking at sneakers that night then I did with sporting goods.
I will say I was not Impressed and I will take the ride to Cabela's when they open at least just took experience the feel of their store. I was down in Cabela's of Salisbury, MD store and liked it minus the hour drive. I even purchased some fishing equipment. So I guess its to each his own. ;D

"Cabela's of Salisbury, MD store "
They don't list any stores in MD.
The closest to Salisbury currently is Hamburg, PA- about 183 miles from there?

Ooops my bad it was Gander Mountain ( I always get those 2 confused ) ! Still a lot nicer then Dicks Store in my Opinion !
;D

I don't know if this is it or not , but most stores, after the Christmas-New Years sales, do not restock a lot because that runs them into Inventory time. The more stock they have the more tax they pay. I bought a rifle in Dick's Dover in Dec. and got a good deal. I may have been able to beat it on-line, but I don't buy on-line. I want to see it and hold it before I keep it. That's how I got my wife and we've been together for over 50 years.

I got my wife online nearly 20 years ago. ;D Still together and looking forward, but can certainly wait, for our 50th. Nothing wrong with online lol.
Btw.. Congrats on over 50! Seems to not happen much anymore these days.
