-
What issues????? There are NONE!

Still waiting since Jan 4th.
-

Hey guys how is everyone doing. Yes i have received mine. I dropped my app off in Dover on Jan 5th. The return envelope is post marked Feb the 4th. Not a bad turn around. Other then Dover is not accepting credit cards no more. Only if your there paying for a criminal matter. Thanks a lot Dover. Hope everything works out though. Sorry guys.
-
thats nice. down state is quick too, less than 1 month turn around. newcastle should send some down there.
-
So here it is April 11th and no renewal yet. Has anyone received theirs yet in NCC? Has anyone called to inquire about renewals in NCC? Are they waiting to mail all of them out at once? This is nuts! Sorry, I had to vent a little bit.
-
Mine is not a renewal it was a new app. Dropped off Dec. 28th and was told a month ago I should see it any day. I still don't have it. My Popo friend looked me up and said I do have the permit on my record. So where is it???

I stated that Dover was not accepting credit cards on the DE OC forum. Everybody acted like I was crazy. Glad to hear I'm not.

Dropped off the renewal in NCC on 1/3. Still waiting.

Still waiting for mine, mailed it in first week if Jan. They sure did cash my check in a hurry though.
-
Dropped mine in April (I know, I know) haven't heard a peep yet. Do have my receipt.
Anyone have a link re: validity of receipt as proof of re-application handy?

§ 1442
It shall be a defense that the defendant has been issued an otherwise valid license to carry a concealed deadly weapon pursuant to terms of § 1441 of this title, where:
(1) The license has expired,
(2) The person had applied for renewal of said license within the allotted time frame prior to expiration of the license, and
(3) The offense is alleged to have occurred while the application for renewal of said license was pending before the court.
How have you been? You and your daughter shooting any?
-
I finally received my renewal today!

I mailed it in to the NCC Protho office Jan 4th. I bet they start rolling in this week. Let's hope.
-
lets hope. seems like alot of people waiting
-
I am a new applicant, submitted the paperwork the end of January.
If ya'll didn't receive your renewals yet, that would probably push mine out wouldn't it?
So, Its been 4 months (in another week) If i was getting denied, I would have heard something
by now wouldn't I? the suspense is killing me!
-
I've heard they process renewals first. I couldn't even begin to guess how long you'll have to wait. Not much longer I hope.
-
i went to the prothonatary office today. they said mine just went out in the mail in the begining of may. now i cant wait for the mail man to come every day
-
FINALLY! received my renewal Fri the 13th, dropped it off 2nd week in Jan

-

-
Received my renewal today. Dropped it off Jan 4th. Glad to have it but how pathetic.

-
Received my renewal today as well. Dropped it off in person on January 3rd.
First time I did this it took 19 weeks. This time was 18.5 weeks.
Pretty consistent. Consistently bad!
So for all you newbies out there, don't bother calling, just wait the required 5 months.
-
Glad to hear they're coming in just in time... I feel safer. :)
(Not kidding. If the SHTF where my wife and/or I happen to be, we feel safer knowing you folks are armed too... even though we've never met any of you).
-
yea moosie they did not improve them at all. just be glad there here on time..
-
I called yesterday abut the status of my application (new)
They told me people are screaming about their renewals.
Told me to call back after 31 May. Hopefully Mine will get in sooner than later.
Ugh the waiting periods is bad! I get security clearance for work in 24 hours
or less. I have 4 months down for this and still not a word. If for some reason I would be denied
do you think I would have heard something by now?
-
What I don't get is the fact that the renewal receipt acts as a renewal if you don't get it intime, where as new people like me just have to wait even longer. Does not make any sense.
-
Well, it does, but honestly... I can't see myself carrying with the confidence that the cop I hand my receipt to will understand the process, etc and not hook me up. Sorry, but their system sucks @@@ and so does their permit. Why is it so hard for Delaware -- the small blunder, to get something so many other states have perfected??

To each their own
-
i really couldnt see going out of state with just a receipt. i dont think that would work with reciprocity in other states. thats why renewals should come first.. just my opinion.
-
Your expired license plus a receipt and even safer -a print out of the specific clause - should be more than enough.
Where as were unarmed and waiting still....after we efficiently gathered, copied, paid, notorized, class, and applied...
Also, by all means you shouldn't be printing or being made so the only area where you would really need to show all that would be if you were pulled over and that state required you to tell the officer you were carrying IMO.
Once again, I'm sure when you were in my shoes you may have had similar thoughts (maybe not). Guess it depends what side of the line you sit on (renewal vs waiting new).
That's why I leave this with, to each their own. I don't want to go to far off the OP. Sorry-
Be safe-

All in all, our (DE) logistics of this are terrible. FL has a huge team and guaranteed times. NH does as well I believe along with several other states. I don't mind the process of applying- finger prints and classes I wish every state did as I think those are extremely important, but our processing times are abysmal.
For being thr "first state", sometimes I feel as though were the last to adopt certain things...
-
Just received it - applied for renewal on Jan 7th

Update... I called yesterday (June 14th) and they told me that they are still working on the renewals.
So, for anyone that is still waiting on renewals, they are working on it, for the rest of us with a new appliation in, seems like we'll be waiting a while longer.
