I remember seeing this topic somewhere, but cant seem to locate it. Besides, it wouldn't hurt to ask again since the time is apon us.
Is it legal to carry to the election polls? I'll be voting at an elementary school (where cc is legal ), but was unsure if being an election site changes anything or not. Thanks and happy voting!!
Also, can a ccw permit be used as identification at the polls?

I am convinced that there is no prohibition to legally concealed carry at the polling sites. I live in Kent County and I must say: I found the atmosphere and attitude positively wonderful at our polling place. And they did ask for ID; like they should!
At odds, somebody needs to stick a flush handle on Philadelphia.

Yes, you can use your license as ID. You don't need ID if you are registered, it just speeds up the process (What the News Journal said). I don't like that one bit.

Thanks for the replies. I did end up carrying about an hour after my original post. I was also pleased with the process in Kent Co. In and out. And yes, Philly is a cesspool!

When I went to vote, they asked my wife and I for our Polling Place card and another ID. My wife gave they her Drivers Lisence. I gave them my DECCW, just to see what they would say. I got a uneasy look from the lady, but after she whispered to the ladie next to her she said ok and returned it. Of course I was carrying. It was at a school building, but school was closed. Took the chance.
