Anyone renewed in a different county than issued? I'm due for renewal in 2016 and we recently moved from Sussex to NCC (yeah, yeah....I know). Updating my DMV stuff next week and was going to prep my CCW renewal to submit 1/4...anyone see any issues other than the significantly longer lead times in receiving renewal?

Regardless of the time NCC takes to issue the renewal, you are covered once your application has been submitted even if your permit expires during the renewal process.

Haven't done that personally Ian, but I also don't anticipate any issues. Assuming you had enough references in NCC.

I don't think you need references for a renewal.

You don't. You'll just have a longer wait time.

Old thread but just wanted to follow up on this. I was a slacker and despite having completed the paperwork the procrastinator in me had put off making the trip to the courthouse until 5/29. Given that and the address/county change I fully expected a long wait. Quite the contrary...no issues with the change and received my new permit in the mail yesterday, 6/29. :o
