Post by: groundgrid on March 19, 2014, 03:29:59 PM
Please vote in the following poll regarding residents of public housing & their
right to defend themselves:

Considering the violent crime situation in Wilmington and the ineffectiveness of the police department,
it is very important that we show support for their rights.

There is the argument the left could, but would never make, that public housing is not a right but a privilege and since it belongs to the state or is subsidized by the taxpayer all the normal rights might not apply there. For example you can carry a gun, but not in a police station or other places especially state or federal property.

IF the left tries that it can always be said "Ok do they give up their right to vote for living in public housing". I am sure the left would change their tune then.

Seems the court ruled the right way and as one poster said, considering the area people there should be able to protect themselves.
