If the State is successful at restricting mags to 10 rounds only can we expect a run on mags and higher prices?
Is there a legal way to “duck plug” a pistol magazine? My Ruger and M&P mags are already $40+ .

I don't think "duck plugging" a mag will be legal, because I believe the restriction will be on the capacity to hold more than 10 rounds. Even with a "plug" the mag will still have the "capacity" or ability, to hold more than 10 rounds.
My SR9 holds 17+1. I bought 2 / 10 round mags from a place called Ivanhoe Wholesale Outlet in Mass. They listed for just over $40.00 from Ruger. These are genuine Ruger mags and I paid $27.05 each plus $5.00 shpg.

I figure if the 10 rounder law goes thru I will be carrying 21 rounds. If not I will have the capacity of 55 rounds on me if I choose.

I don't think it will be legal to modify the magazines, and for what I see the 10 rounds will be hard to get (or at a premium) for a while.

My SR9 was available with a 17 round, or 10 round mag from the manufacturer. But, what about those that never had a 10 rounder or less available?

I am not sure of a hand gun that doesn't have 10 rounds, but if that is the case it sure poses a problem as the person will be forced into buying another firearm.

This proposed law really strikes home in sour way. This is truly a law that would ONLY affect law abiding citizens.
Since millions of the regular mags are still available the criminal element will always be better armed.
This proposal is the very definition of “infringement” and wreaks of s t u p i d i t y.

i think quite a few of the compacts or concealed carry models have 10 round or less mags with them. I know the SR9c version of my bigger SR9 has a 10 rounder mag. and I have seen some makes with 6-8 round mags.

Not gonna know until a bill passes into law, which we hopefully will not see!
Canada limits all handgun magazines to 10 rounds. However they allow larger mags that are either blocked, pined or even having a small screw placed into the mag to limit its capacity to 10 rounds. I know this because I've been gearing up to be able to transport a few of my handguns back and forth with me as well as exporting a CZ 75 (16-round mag) up for my father.
If it were to pass it would be nice if we could simply use existing with no more then 10 or modify them to work within the law. We simply don't know until it happens.

Frank, if you're XDm is also sold in CA or NJ, there has to be a 10 round compliant magazine for it. That said, I haven't looked for it. Maybe the pistol isn't on the approved list for those states.

Im sure they will be making mags that only hold 10 rounds for the guys with the higher capacity mags... I saw a Glock 19 mag on gunbroker that was only a 10 rounder, instead of the usual 15.

Best option is probably 1911 .45acp as you can get a 10 round mag with one in the pipe. I had not heard they are counting the one in the chamber yet. I would also advise a good back up gun. I carry a .380 bodyguard by S&W with 6 rounds and an extra mag.
It sucks fooling with people's Glocks, and Berettas, but there is not much we can do short of move, American Revolution part 2, War between the states part 2, or try to vote the bums out, but Delaware is a sick enough society that I doubt the bums supporting these gun laws will get voted out.

If there is a demand, there will be a supply. If 10 rounders are the new max, most manufacturers will design 10 rounf mags for their brands. I suspected there will be a rush to purchase for 10 rounders, so I went ahead and bought 2 for my SR9 that came with 2/17 rounders but were available in 10 rounder mags. I guess if they don't change the mag limits that means I have a 55 round capacity with 1 in the tube.
