Just yesterday for me.  I have read how easy it is many times on this board, but until you actually do it you do not realize.  Wow.  There were actually a couple of other DE folks in there getting their PA Non Res, as well.  Heard one of the clerks mention '..another DE applicant..'  My wife got hers, also and then we had lunch at a great Irish Pub around the corner.  Great food and a pleasant drive trumps the 6+ months wait for DE.  Really hard to believe that the two states have such different processes.

The staff in the Lancaster County Sheriff office is wonderful.  15 minutes and $20 later and you are on your way for 5 years

Pa ccw today at Lancaster. It took longer to park and walk to the courthouse and back, then the time for the permit. Total time on parking ticket was 31 min.

If yo can walk a little, go 3-4 blocks past the courthouse, and turn right. There are a few free 2 hr. parking spots on that street, on the left side(one way). Do not park in the bus pickup lane on the right side of the street.

You will have to go throught a police metal detector and empty your pockets to get in, so watch what you take with you to the courthouse. They will confiscate knives and any weapons at that point. I forgot and had a small pocket knife(2 1/2" blade) that I've been carrying for over 30 years and they took it, tagged it, but returned it as i exited the courthouse.

We went to the 9/11 memorial at Ground Zero, not realizing they would want to confiscate my Swiss Army knife. The guard handed it back to me before we went in. I guess I look harmless.
Of course, I had to tell him, "Glad we're not in Delaware: I'd have handed you my Glock 29... but, of course, I left it home today."
"She's petite, extremely beautiful, and heavily armed."
