I just picked up my permit and am shocked out how it's made. It's just a cheap photocopy glued together. Will reciprocal states take it seriously?
-
As scarry as it may seem they will honor it.
-
I was expecting something like a drivers license. Guess its just a flimsy little card like a voters registration card?
-
they pretty much suck >:(
-
I've had to freaking super glue the edges of my permit all the way around now.
To quote Bill O'Reilly, "F* thing SUCKS!".

They can verify it 24/7 by phone... or on their computers. From the AG's reciprocity page:
"Law enforcement officials from other jurisdictions can verify Delaware CCDW permits by contacting the Delaware State Police Headquarters on a 24/7 basis via NLET.AM directed to DEDSP0000 or by calling 302-739-5901"

I just wish they would make it a little bit smaller...the size of a credit card or drivers license. The way they are now they don't fit in a wallet very well.

Center County PA's is even cheesier. But crappy as they are...they keep you safe...
-
I've cut the plastic down on my DE CCDW a little bit. Makes it fit better.
As far as Centre Co., copy it at 60%. Laminate the copy. Keep original safe.

I know I've asked this question before, but bare with me... I'm blonde and have the attention span of a gnat. ;D
Who, what, where are you getting your PA copies laminated??
Thanks!

Same here. I have one at work.
Staples I think can do it too.
-
Hmmmm... we have one at work too. Not sure I want anyone at work to know I have a ccw though.
Thanks, Knotacare. I'll email you.
-
It's a receipt and you want to take care of it. Noone will know.
SHHHHH.... Our little secret. ;)
---OR---
It is a LTCF which you need when transporting in PA to the range while on your hip. PA does NOT have a "PERMIT".
-
LOL. you're on a roll today!

glock9, when you removed the card from its DE plastic holder, did you trim the edges of the license ? When you laminated it, didn't it also leave a plastic overhang, or edge that still made the whole thing larger than the license? This thing is too big for me too!
-
The actual permit is two of those home-printed business cards, printed side by side and folded together at the perforation. Before laminating, it is 3.5" wide by 2" high; the crude laminate job makes it too wide for most wallets.
The day mine arrived, I tried to trim the original laminate... and it came apart, helpfully dumping the cards out without damaging them.
I carefully trimmed about 1/8" off mine with a paper slicer. The D.I.Y. laminating pouches I bought at Staples added that back to it after more careful trimming, and it fits into my wallet OK now.

Is it possible to get a copy store to shrink the actual permit and laminate it so it would fit in a wallet easier?
