« on: September 06, 2015, 02:14:20 PM »
That's right folks our AG actually added a state to the list. Thanks to Swinokur at Maryland shooters for informing me. http://www.isp.idaho.gov/BCI/inc/documents/DelawareResponse2015.pdf

Seems funny to me that Delaware will take Idaho (so how many people come here from Idaho) but not Pennsylvania or Virginia.

Reason is Pennsylvania does not require training and Delaware dropped Virginia because Virginia allows on line training (a 20 question multiple choice test) Virginia still honors Delaware.

VA dropped DE
But VA still honors UT (resident and non-resident). If you don't have a UT and still want VA carry, take a UT permit class.

I still prefer to support the Constitutional Concealed Carry National Reciprocity Bill, now in the US House and Senate. Which would make it legal to carry nationwide without multiple permits. They are Senate Bill S. 498, House Resolutions HR 402, HR 923, and HR 986. Any and all would be ok with me.
You can read these bills by going to  https://www.congress.gov/search?q=%7B%22congress%22%3A%22114%22%2C%22source%22%3A%22legislation%22%2C%22search%22%3A%22S.498%22%7D

To read S. 498, or insert the other HR #'s to read the House Resolutions.

I still prefer to support the Constitutional Concealed Carry National Reciprocity Bill, ...
Given the difficulty of mustering the 2/3rd majorities in both the House and Senate to override a Presidential veto, these bills have little chance of becoming law until we have a 2A-friendly POTUS.
A more achievable goal is acquiring non-resident permits. Supporting 2A politicians is a well wothwhile activity this year. On a side note, I did hear a rumor that MD was easing up on the permit process.

Don't want to get into a 2nd amendment rant but a national permit makes sense. I am a United States citizen, not just a Delaware citizen. Spitting nails mad about how our 2nd amendment rights were handed away without my consent. Probably wasn't born yet. Wish I had Trump money. I'd be heading to the Supreme Court by now, with standing. Spit.

If any of the afore mentioned bills I listed get passed, there will be no need of a "National Permit" as such. All you will need is you DECCW and it will give you reciprocity. You will have to be aware or the laws of the other states. If you are traveling to states on vacation or business, you will be bound by their individual CC laws while in their state, as others will have to be savy of Delaware's laws when traveling here.

I support universal reciprocity, but oppose a national  ( federal) carry permit. Too much opportunity for mischief by future congresses and presidents.  Best left to the states.  Just make sure that the constitutional requirement for the states to recognize the public acts of each other state is enforced.
