Title: Non resident permits
Post by: 29thInfantry on February 12, 2016, 02:55:41 AM
I have been looking all over the place and I cannot find any information on this.  I have a friend that lives in MD and wants to get his non resident for some other states.  Is this even possible would like to be able to find the correct information for him so he knows where he can get a non resident permit without having his home state permit.

Look at Non-resident Permit in Utah on handgunlaw.us.
IIRC, @Radnor offers the UT permit class as do others on this board.
DE honors UT permit.
Your friend will have to obey MD laws re transportation, i.e., straight from home to destination/state line and return directly home from destination/state line.

Slight correction....

I do not offer UT, but our class DOES cover AZ (which DEL accepts).
IF interested, PM me.  Next class 2/21

Would he be welcome to join us here even though he is a MD resident?

Why wouldn't he be, if he is carrying legally in DE?

Sorry, I should have said he is( or should be) welcome to join if he plans to carry legally in DE. Lot of members here are not permit holders yet but will be. As long as the permit he carries is good here in DE I don't see why not. JMHO. :)

I would hope Sig opened the forum for all constructive discussion.  At this point I would welcome those opposed who would like to get my take on why I carry.  There are some brilliant (no, the algorithm did not change the word) commenters here that can shed light to those in the dark.

Noticed that myself. Great knowledge here and I enjoy reading it.
