"Jerry Falwell Jr., president of Christian-based Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, is encouraging students to carry concealed weapons on campus for protection, a local newspaper reported."

And the campus police are providing the free CC permit classes. Contrast that to several other universities in VA.

Several colleges & universities have promulgated regulations prohibiting carry in buildings and at events:
George Mason University  (8VAC35-60-20)
Longwood University  (8VAC50-20)
Old Dominion University  (8VAC65-10)
Richard Bland College  (8VAC115-30)
University of Virginia  (8VAC85-20)
Virginia Military Institute  (8VAC100-10)
Virginia State University  (8VAC110-10)
Virginia Tech  (8VAC105-20)
William and Mary  (8VAC115-20)

Both my kids also.  Paid off long ago but now occasionally helping a granddaughter in her senior year there. Going down for her senior recital shortly.  And yep, followed OGG's advice and have MD and VA printouts from handgunlaw.us plus the LU campus rules for firearms.
