Title: Markell's reporting Requirement
Post by: SeanM on February 21, 2013, 02:09:42 AM
Governor Markell's first piece of "common sense" legislation was released today.  Report your lost or stolen firearms, or you're a criminal!

If someone is going to make a straw purchase what is stopping him from just saying that he sold the firearm?  No record is mandated for a private sale yet if I remember correctly.

Markell noted that a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms was arrested last week on gun and drug charges in Wilmington. Authorities said he had an AK-47 assault type rifle that was stolen in Pennsylvania and two handguns that were stolen in Maryland.

Couldn't these morons find a case to reference where the guns were actually stolen in Delaware?

Do these people actually think about the laws they create or are they just pulling it out of their butt.  Because seems to me that zero thought was put into this!!  As Sean said how is this going to affect the problem?

I will only affect businesses and lawful gun owners. Criminals and mentally ill people don't care about laws. They are motivated by Hate, Greed, Fame, and Self Needs at everyone elses expense.
