I just wanted to share a quick pic of my new 1911. The grips and slide stop are aftermarket; but the rest is stock. I really like the looks & feel of this pistol. Big thanks to Chris at Federal Firearms for being able to make this possible.

You should check the Federal Firearm web site. Prices change all the time. I thought it was a very reasonable price when I bought mine. It was a little bit more expensive than the most basic Rock Island GI model, but it also has a number of welcome upgrades.
Hmm... it doesn't appear to be on the site at the moment. Perhaps it is out of stock?

I'm a regular customer there along with my wife. Was just there a few weeks ago and i got a 357 magnum,she got a 38 special.
