Was reading this with coffee this morning. That is a lot of firepower to disappear in 1 shot.

What sloppy transporting of such weaponry! Scanning them as a group???  Idiots.

I do hope that they are recovered though.

The guns are described as black, 5.56 mm, semi-automatic with a law enforcement carbine and 16-inch barrel.

what is a "law enforcement carbine" and can i get one put on my AR-15 with a 16" barrel?

@rabbit, a "law enforcement carbine" = any type of rifle that is semi-automatic, uses a replaceable magazine, and considered a modern sporting rifle.  ;D

Journalism certainly lacks a lot these days.

"with a law enforcement carbine" makes it sound like an accessory. Too funny. I want one also!

my understanding is that the name "Law Enforcement Carbine" is language left over from 199-2004 during the federal AWB.  Its now the same model of rifle that Colt sells under the name Sporter SP6920.

Yes, journalism at its finest!!
