FDIC Enlisted In the War On Guns

Since they can't win the war on public opinion they are using the FDIC to go after banks that have dealings with gun companies.  

The Justice Department calls it "Operation Choke Point" and it's causing perhaps hundreds of gun shops and manufacturers across the country a lot of inconvenience and lost profits.

It seems that the FDIC issued orders in 2011 that forced banks to scrutinize "high risk" businesses like gun stores, porn shops, and drug paraphenalia outlets. The result was that lines of credit, credit card transaction processing, and even bank accounts have all come under attack by banks scared to do business with gun stores.

What’s interesting is the tactic of lumping the gun culture in with the porn industry and drug users/dealers. The Right and Responsibility of human beings to defend self and family is being redefined as a perversion and an addiction. While despicable, it’s interesting that perversion and addiction are being elevated to the status of Rights while actual Rights are being lowered to perversion and addiction. This is why the conservatives need to take back the Senate in Nov. Then, come Jan 1, Harry Reid can't block legislation and the Senate committees can investigate this administration's excesses which make Nixon's IRS enemies list look like penny ante poker.
