This should surprise no one.   The antis intend to disarm all law abiding citizens.

What is so sacrosanct about a .22 rifle?

Well that is very well the first firearm a youth gets from his father. It is how he learns to shoot and enjoy firearms.

This is exactly what the antis want to stop.  It is no accident.  It is part of their plan. It must be stopped at all costs.

Governor Pugsley won't sign it.

Maybe New Jersey is racing California and New York to be the most strict gun control state in the country.

Governor Pugsley won't sign it.

Even if he doesn't they probably will override his veto. They want to destroy the "gun culture" in
this country that is young people growing up and using firearms. Seeing firearms in a positive light.
Seeing firearms as a vital part of our American story.

Even if they can't over ride his veto, the next governor will gladly sign it with about 10 stern faced State Troopers flanking that governor. He will see himself as tough. He beat the vile "gun lobby"

Of course this will have nothing to do with reducing crime.  It is to destroy freedom.

Christie would either have to either veto the bill, sign it into law, or not sign it and let it go into law by default.
It is possible that if he vetoes it, it could have enough steam to be overridden. Or he could take the weenie way out and let go into effect by doing nothing, and he would claim clean hands because it doesn't have his signature on it.

I would expect him to just let it ride as he is a potential presidential candidate. I most likely would not support him in the primaries, but if she should win.....

Not a chance.

If he doesn't veto it his political career will be over.

Making it through the primaries with a passed anti 2A bill under his belt is political suicide.
If he forces an override vote & NJ gets involved in the inevitable litigation he can thumb his nose at
all of the money wasting Democrats.
Here’s the real issue: when your religion is government, and government is god, you cannot tolerate any other God before it

Don't trust Christie!!!   He launched a smear campaign against pro second amendment candidates to win his legislative seat see this copy of his REAL agenda:  Might as well been scripted by Feinstein or Bloomberg!

Christie is a sleazeball and a very scary one at that.
