Federal Court Strikes again on Concealed Carry in New England

SB Bans Uncoded Ammo in GA
http://www.examiner.com/x-5619-Atlanta-Gun-Rights-Examiner~y2010m1d2-SB-12-bans-uncoded-ammunition-in-Georgia

While I do believe the guys in the first article could have avoided a lot of the hassle had they cooperated with the police who were questioning them, I do find it hard to believe that the PO in New England had difficulty "verifying" the concealed carry permit.  Was that the first one he ever saw?  Doubt it.

As for the ammo ban in GA, clearly they've thought it through and are prepared to not have this whole thing turn into a huge cluster F.  So, is GA ammo free right now?  How many ammo manufacturers were prepared to start shipping coded ammo to GA... and only GA?  Probably very few, if any.  On top fo that, while the article didn't say that they were registering ammo to a specific buyer... at least not yet, what is the purpose of doing this if they're not registering it?  I hope and pray that the buck stops in GA on this.  I have no personal concerns of my shell casings being found at a crime scene, but I do consider it to be a huge invasion of privacy where big brother is concerned.
