I was finally able to finish the entire process, and dropped off my application to the Prothonotary this afternoon. Now I get to sit and wait...and wait...
I also mailed my Florida application today as well!

...and wait and wait and wait.. Oh lol sorry ;) Its a lesson in patience :)

If it makes you feel better, my Delaware came back quicker than Florida. 9 weeks versus 11 weeks. New Castle County.

Florida arrived today. 43 days after I mailed it. I continue the wait for DE...

My Florida took 6 weeks minus a day from the day I dropped the application into the mail. Still waiting for my Delaware license too (7.5 weeks now).

8.5 weeks and counting. I was thinking in the back of my mind that it might arrive before Christmas...there's only a few days left now so I'm not holding my breath. I did get a call from the investigator on the 13th. REALLY nice guy, wanted to verify some info on my driver's abstract since I lived in the state for less than a year. He told me everything looked good and I should be all set...

(Edited reply... I said "dropped in the mail". I meant at the prothonotary. Silly me. Just anxious.)

Curious here - what kind of envelope is the permit delivered in? Is it marked from the state or just a plan envelope with a street address only?

#10 envelope with return address from the Protonotary office
It will have a letter explaining the renewal process and a blank renewal application.
Of course the permit as well

Going on vacation has worked for several of us. But, ... I vividly remember the wait and the frantic search through the mail every day.

I would have had a hell of a vacation! My permit took 10 months.
