I wanted to know what kind of ammo you guys are carrying ??? Which is best for personal defense ???

I carry federal hydroshock or hornaday critical defense.  Both very accurate and reliable and I've seen great reviews of both.  Currently critical defense in my Glock as that was what I could find.  I would try several different brands with your EDC to see what works best.

Newlife thanks for the info, i'm looking for something with great stopping power. I am currently carry hollow points, but it looks like Hydroshock are better.

What is your caliber and barrel length?

I plan on using Gold Dot 230gr Short barrel in my 3.3" barreled XD-S .45 and Corbon 125gr +P in in my 9mm XD-S, also 3.3" barrel.

You may ask 10 members and get 10 different choices.  Whatever you choose MUST function in YOUR pistol as verified by actual shooting.

Hornady Critical Defence JHP 148g.  Having watched some video (you tube) on balisitics gel test the Hornady JHP seemed to be competitive.

When I finally do get my permit (15 weeks and counting), I plan on loading up winchester ranger t's in 45 caliber.
