That's why I checked the mail personally during the wait. Congrats!

Congrats ...stay safe..

We're down here in Washington D.C. this weekend, where only the criminals and the seventeen paramilitary police forces carry guns. Got my Swiss Army knife, though, so it's not as bad as Tom Hanks in Castaway. :D
Carry wherever & whenever it's legal, and know when it ain't!

Congrats!

Hmm, I suppose you informed you wife earlier that you were expecting this special piece of mail. If you didn't, well......
In my case we both submitted for our permits the same day and received them both in the same envelope 6 weeks later.

Funny. Wife and I submitted same day in person NCC. Mine :D came last week, no sign of wife's yet. She is getting jealous :-)

Ah, seniorgeek, you went and spoiled it for me. Here I had my mind all set to expect 10 to 12 weeks for Sussex and you say you got yours in 6 weeks. I'm in week 7 and now you have me waiting for the mail every day. It wasn't a problem until I read your post. ;D
We'll see how it goes. Someday!

Congrats!!!

Techgeek and markb maybe you should check to see if your wife is collecting mail and setting it aside lol!
Thanks for the congrats!

@Markb, We received are permits in early May before it really got busy, so your wait time maybe longer now as more people have applied.
It does seem like in Sussex the wait is less that the other 2 counties.

seniorgeek, I put in my application on June 15 and my course certification on July 17. On the 17th I had the chance to speak to Joyce Collins, the Prothonotary for Sussex (she was manning the reception window at the time - lunchtime). I told her that I was told it would take 2.5 to 3 months and she commented that maybe it would be shorter. The 2.5 to 3 months makes it about the end of August to mid-September for me. I'll just while the summer away waiting for it to arrive. Ms. Collins also said she had about 200 applications on her desk at that time.
seniorgeek - I just noticed that you are a combat veteran. Thank you for your service under bad conditions! You help keep us all free.

Markb, thanks. I was a tactical communications specialist with the 1st Signal Brigade. I served in VietNam in '70-'71.
Yes, your wait now starts, so sit back and enjoy the forum and don't fret about it as eventually it will show up.
Now spend the time deciding what pistol to use, type of holster, and then practice with you selection.
You can still go to the range do some shooting, and enjoy what you have and it will make the time go by faster.
