Bentz won 894 to 683. Only 10% of the registered voters showed up to vote. Sad, the reason NCC is dominated by Liberal/Socialists is nobody up there really cares.
Sad to see all you guys needed to do was get 215 more gunnies to vote and you would have replaced a Dem w/a NRA "D" grade w/a Repub w/a "AQ" ("A" per her answers to the NRA's "Q"uestionnaire).
The below was posted on the DSSA website and apparently sent out as an email to members, but was not posted on DECCW.com....

ACTION ALERT
SPECIAL ELECTION-18TH REP. DISTRICT
SEPTEMBER 12, 2015
A Special Election will be held in the 18th Representative District on Saturday, September 12, 2015 to fill a vacancy in the Delaware House of Representatives created by the resignation of Rep. Michael Barbieri who quit to take a State job.
As you will remember, Rep. Barbieri was a member of the Board of Directors of the radical anti-gun, Bloomberg-inspired organization known as “Delaware Coalition Against Gun Violence” and the author of several rabidly anti-gun measures while in the General Assembly.
The candidates in this race could not be more different:
One is rated “A” by NRA, the other is rated “D”.
One is a long-time member of the community, the other a relative newcomer to the district.
One is a native Delawarean and the mother of five while the other lists himself as a “politician.”
One has worked as a grassroots activist for successful pro-gun legislators while the other was the legislative assistant to a rabidly anti-gun enemy of the Second Amendment.
The Republican candidate is Eileen O’Shaughnessy-Coleman. Eileen is the mother of five children, two of whom are children with special needs suffering from autism. She is a life-long resident of the Newark area, a graduate of both Dickinson High School and the University of Delaware and has lived in the 18th Representative District for over 24 years. Although no longer employed outside the home, she worked in the financial market place in the international sector. She currently lives in The Woods development of Newark.
NRA has endorsed Eileen O’Shaughnessy-Coleman and given her the grade of “AQ” based upon her questionnaire. DSSA supports NRA’s endorsement of this candidate.
The Democrats have chosen Rep. Barbieri’s legislative assistant and Democrat political operative David S. Bentz to replace his mentor. Mr. Bentz is endorsed by the ultra-liberal and anti-gun faction of the Democratic Party known as “Progressive Democrats for Delaware” and enjoys the support of Delaware’s anti-gun Gov. Jack Markell. Bentz, who currently lives in the “Whetherfield” development near Bear, has lived in the 18th District for a few years. His Facebook page lists his occupation as “Politician”.
NRA has graded Mr. Bentz as a “D” candidate based upon his statements to his “progressive” supporters. He refused to answer NRA’s questionnaire. DSSA agrees with NRA that Mr. Bentz is no friend of the Second Amendment.
