CHESTER β One man is dead and another man is seriously injured in what police believe was an attempted robbery outside a tavern on the 2900 block of West Third Street just before 1 a.m. Sunday.
A 31-year-old Chester resident was pronounced dead early Sunday at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland, and a 22-year-old Marcus Hook resident was listed in serious condition late Sunday morning said Chester Detective James Nolan.
βIt appears the deceased attempted to rob the other male and lost the gunfight,β said Nolan.
He said the Marcus Hook resident was licensed to carry a firearm. The identities of both men were being withheld by authorities late Sunday morning pending identification of next of kin.
