Changed my carry from the M&P 40C to the Kimber Pro Convert II. The Kimber in .45acp shoots much smoother that the "snap" of the 40c.

Congratulations, how does it shoot?
You have a gunshop, right?

My previous carry was the M&P40c which was "snappy". The Kimber with the 4" bbl in .45acp has a much smother recoil and with the crimson Trace laser make my accuracy greatly improved. Yes I am a dealer.

Looking at purchasing a kimber cdp 2 ultra carry. Do you like the 4 inch barrel or the 3 inch in a 1911?

I have a 3" EMP 9mm - really nice pistol, 100% reliable, very light, and a pleasure to shoot. I have had a few 4.25" 1911s, and with the exception of two Colts (jammomatics) they worked really well. However, I like the 5" barrel better. Today I carry a fullsize, SA TRP, daily on a SilentThunder IWB holster ( http://garrettindustries.mybigcommerce.com/silent-thunder-iwb/)

I have both. I like the 3in more because it is lighter and more conformingwhere I carry it. The 4in Is more noticeable due to the slightly larger grip. They both are great to shoot.
