I turned in 2 apps for my wife and I back in early March. Just 4 weeks ago I applied for a federal curios & relics FFL and received it Monday. It's sad that the feds can work faster than this commie state.

Whoa! I've been around and this is no commie state. Delaware is the best example of a center right culture that I've seen and I'm no spring chicken. Our voices are heard here and its one of the only places where I can speak directly to our representatives in a food store or even a call to their home. I'm a nobody who has spoken way often to the pols in this state from the Governor to the local councilmen. Everyone is looking for votes. That’s the game we have to play. :-\

When the fundamental rights that I and all those before me have served to defend are infringed upon and twisted to the point where it's near impossible to exercise them, that's what I call a commie state. Every state in this Union should not even have a CCW law to begin with; so that's the first infringement. If we are going to have to put up with the socialist/leftist/communist gun haters in power, then at least every state should have shall issue CCW laws.

Hats off to Firedawg11. I grew up on Maryland's Eastern Shore, and have lived in Delaware over 45 years. The problem with bot places is they are a den for Liberal Progressives. Both Democrat and Republicans. They are anti-gun, give-me-something-for-nothin', let the Government pay for it, entitled, union sucking, spoiled children. If I wasn't as old as I am, I'd love to move to Texas or some other state where people still have a sense of small Government, stand on your own, hard work and ambition gets you to the top. I feel Delaware and Maryland have fallen to the pits of the entitled "Left" that suck the Government teat, and think it's a Godly way of life. I can assure you it isn't, but it seems they are too dumb to realize.

Delaware is #3 per capita with executions so we got that going for us. ;D

But Delaware is #4 in CRIME per capita in the whole United States. We are the second smallest state.

Well, kick out NCC and that crime rate would drop dramatically. Actually, kick out NCC and the election results would change dramatically.

Just an observation from a Delaware Native - I could be wrong about this but, I've observed that Delaware has a lot of people that were not born and raised here that have done one of 2 things to us, particularly in NCC. They have planted themselves in our politics and have supported the destruction of personal liberty and economic strangulation or they have moved here from other Socialist Disaster States and supported the politicians and their big government policies. Delaware once had a low tax, business attractive reputation with a moderate position on most personal liberty issues. This scenario seemed to slowly unwind during the 1990s and we have become nearly as bad as our neighboring States with useless laws, economic stagnation caused by government interference and a growing population of dependency - A Socialist dream come true!

I am not a native, but I have lived here about 48 years, of the 67 years I've lived on Delmarva. Some years back, someone tried to get a movement to get Delmarva (south of the canal) made a seperate state. The Eastern Shore of MD and VA would seceed and join DE to become the State of Delmarva. That failed. Or, did it? Seems to me we are the Socialist State of Delmarva now.

Capnball is correct, as a lifetime De. resident, I have also seen the change. NCC is running De. politics, as NJ residents migrated here to avoid taxes and for our lower housing costs. Let's blow all the bridges and make Delmarva a state.
