Actually, CCDW permit holders are permitted to carry in primary and secondary schools and property. Were exempt from the laws, both state and federal, which ban guns from schools.

You are correct.  The No Carry locations posted on this forum is wrong.
Actually state law bans illegal carry on school grounds.  Open carry would be legal under STATE law.

Under section 1458, there has to be an underlying charge and committing one of the listed weapons offenses in a school zone bumps the charge up one degree.

Having a CCW license issued by the state of Delaware protects you from prosecution under the federal law.

Have never heard of it bring charged without another underlying criminal charge, but open carry without a CCW could bring a federal charge.

Are you saying I can legally walk into CR High School carrying a concealed weapon if I have a CCDW license?

Yes, you can. (I would suggest you keep it well concealed, unless you want to be on the TV news...).

Yes. If you will remember that this was one of the planks of the anti gun initiatives that Markell / Biden tried to get after Sandy Hook. They wanted to ban firearms from schools under state law.  They did not get this or the magazine ban or the so called assault weapon ban.  They did get the background check and the lost / stolen firearm bill passed.

To be charged under current law you must have also been charged with another weapons offense on or near school property.

Agreed.  This is where I part company with the Open Carry folks.  While I do support it's legality common sense dictates that the firearm should be concealed in public places such as a school, mall, sporting event, etc.

What we need is Constitutional Carry.

You guys still didn't answer the original question.
The polling place is in the local volunteer fire department building, Not federal or state.

Can I legally CCDW when I vote?
Actually I am an election worker and I will be there processing voters.

Again you are assuming that all polling places are in firehouses. But, most are in schools.

Well, if the polling is at the VFD I'm sure there is a contract or rent or permission to have the voting in this location. I am assuming (hate to assume) that this location becomes State and/or Federal domain until the polling is closed. I will be wearing my NRA sweater because I understand it will be chilly Tuesday morning.
