Both our instructors said to use what the state law requires.. For the protection of self, family and property. Your age has nothing to do with it and neither does the train, etc. That's the legal state law for possession of a concealed firearm. Adding reasons could get you a restricted permit.
I think a few years ago someone was asking for more but it's not required by law. I haven't heard of anyone being denied in the last few years I've been on these forums for using this as their reason.
