Question
« on: August 14, 2012, 10:51:37 PM »
I'm interested in applying for the Delaware CCW. In fact just took a training course and mailed in the application to Florida. In reading over the DE application there is a question regarding "ever" being convicted of an alcohol related crime. I received a DUI in New Castle County in 1990, 22 years ago. Does anyone know if that is an automatic denial and hence save myself the time and expense of even submitting the paperwork?

Suggest you contact the Attorney Generals office and ask them. Don't forget to get the name of the person/persons you speak with and attach a letter to you application stateing their answer and names and dates. Documentation is everything. An email to them about this is a printable document that can be used.

Won't be an issue. "If it was First Offender Program" it wont even show up.

Thanks and it was.

It was meaning...  You received a denial or an approval?

This is from last August, he must know one way or another by now.  Also he hasn't been active since December so I don't know if he will see this.  Maybe he will get the email and let us know.
