I am not a very good letter writer, but some one should write a rebuttal to this article. Never saw that 1965-1969 active duty,  and DEARNG until 1993. If they are gonna talk at least know what they are talking about.

You have a good point.  The article is written by someone with inaccurate information repeating comments that would have no impact on nut-cases acting out.

When there is so much disinformation, where would someone even begin to fight this?  The author skips form Connecticut to Bushmaster 223 to emergency rooms to assault weapons and ends up in Delaware somehow.

The writer claims that the weapon used in Connecticut had the capability to fire 6 rounds per second.  Straight up BS, unless he could have pulled the trigger 6 times in a second.  What was used in Vietnam was full auto, not semi-auto like used in Newtown.  Anyone that uses Brady Campaign numbers as statistics have an agenda that does not include facts or logic.
