I filed on March 2 in Kent county and I am still patiently waiting. I figured it would be this month due to the prothonotary office telling me they were behind and renewals were starting to come in. Anyone hear any different?

Welcome to the forum, all. The waiting period is a rite of passage that will fade quickly in memory when the prized possession arrives. Suggest that you brush up on Fed and DE laws, tune up your carry gear, and browse thru the forum for previous threads that can answer your questions. Feel free to ask questions. Please introduce yourselves, if you haven't already.

You have to figure it this way. The first issue permit is for 3 years. Just think of how many people have filed in the last 3 years and how many were already out there before that. All of those renewals are processed before new permit applications. I doubt that there are anymore people working in the Prothonatary Office, Att. Generals, and Superior Court. These are the divisions that are charged with the processing of renewals. This is over and above the other work they have in their offices. I remember being just as anxious when I got my first permit many years ago, and the first renewal. But after a while you just chill out and wait., knowing it will be here someday.
