teflon-coated bullets
« on: March 16, 2009, 10:05:11 PM »
This is something I find funny OMMELANDEN RANGE says no Teflon-coated bullets. I am thinking the person that wrote that might need a lesson in bullets. Teflon has no armor piercing capabilities its more of a  lubricant. This Teflon stuff is so blown out of wack, That even coating a lead bullet with it is illegal. And this is the core of it all a steel bullet is an armor piercing round. But you have to coated it in something like copper or Teflon. A plain non jacketed steel round would destroy a barrel. That is why all armor piercing bullets are jacketed. Now coating a lead round in Teflon would not be a bad thing you would not have to be bothered with copper fouling and less lead fouling as well. So lets say that if the bullet sticks to a magnet at all we can call it an armor piercing round no matter what the jacket is made from. But if it will not stick to a magnet it will not go through a steel plate no matter what the jacket is made from.

Just something else I find funny if nothing sticks to Teflon how do they get it in the pans?

Nbc  launched the hype.  and they still do it now,

Lilia Luciano Fired By NBC News Over Botched George Zimmerman Edit

So what have we learned over the history of NBC?

I hope Zimmerman puts a class action suit againts NBC .

As far as the teflon sign, and hype bs,  The same surrounds the 5.7 ammo and gun.
We have so much more intelligence availible to us than years ago, but people still hear what they want to hear.
