-
Taurus Millennium Pro PT111 9mm.
-
Mine was one of the value line metal frame S&W 40's hated it
-
Taurus - would not but another one. They just don't work reliably!!!
-
Springfield XDM 40 cal. bi-tone. I told you I was a virgin gun owner 8)

Smith & Wesson model 910, I had forgotten about that gun untill this thread
-
Astra......... and before you say it (gunenvy/sig)........ DON'T! ;D

-

The Radom was a 9mm developed by John Browning. Browning offered it to the english who refused. The Polish then bought the rights to make the gun. Its alot like a merger of a Browning Hi Power, and a 1911.
-
I fixed it! It was supposed to say Astra. ??? I guess i'm just used to typing Taurus now.
-
Right!!!
-

I would. Taurus seems to be in the "either you love or you hate 'em" category. I have had good luck with mine. I've got a 3rd generation MilPro and I have put a couple of hundred rounds through it with no FTF or FTE's (I got my fingers crossed). I know other people who have not been as lucky as I have with them. My second was a Glock 21, definitely a better gun, but too big for me to carry concealed. I do not plan on stopping with just these two.

Brand loyalty plays as much a part as it does with cars. I've had a few Taurus guns and 2 of the 3 were great and the 3'rd I would say was picky. As long as I fed it right it did what I asked.

Sig Pro SP2022 9mm

An Iver Johnson breaktop, with the owl’s head grips. It “attempts” to shoot .32’s – but not very successfully. Even when I pilfered it from my dad as a teenager, it was about 90 years old. With a trigger pull that may be around twenty pounds, an inherently inaccurate round, and the timing being way off – it was more of a danger to me than anyone on the other end. My first “real” piece was an S&W Model 65, in .357. I still have both of them.
-
Corbon, Iver Johnson breaktop interesting little revolver, You had or still have two real nice S&W revolvers both I would love to have for my collection.

You must have seen the post before my edit. Starting out shooting .308s and 12 gauges, and then moving almost immediately into .357s and .44s – sort of jades a person. After that, everything seems like a cap gun. Two exceptions to that would be my KelTec P3AT stoked with CorBon, and my Model 60 stoked with +P+. Those little things are really bad. Little tiny grips and lots of power (at least for the little tiny grips) makes for a painful combination.
-
I don't know why but Kel Tecs have never really been a gun that I have any desire to shoot even though they do make nice pistols. Although I'm kinda surprised that a 380 would be that hard to shoot even in +P+. I guess it could be.
-
The KelTec is difficult because it is tiny. So, you are literally “trying” to hold onto it. It has a bizarrely long trigger pull, and a somewhat narrow trigger. You are also trying to avoid “Walther bite” on the top. Meanwhile, the weapon itself has no weight to it – so all of the energy is transferred directly to your hand. As mine was one of the “problem” guns, I had to keep taking it to the range and firing a hundred or more rounds at a time through it. It was literally load-the-magazine, empty-the-magazine, load-the-magazine, empty-the-magazine -- over and over. I didn’t even care where it hit – as long as it went bang.
I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone for a plinker. And for self-defense, its best application is when the baddie is close enough to punch, but you don’t feel like scrapin’ up your knuckles.
-
I think my thing with the Keltec is its size, I'm not a big fan of small guns, I had a 38 spc snub nose revolver and hated it, I played hell trying to shoot it and the trigger guard would pinch my hand.
-
I like the revolvers made by Taurus, hell I have two of them and they are great guns, but I am not a big fan of there semi-autos.
-
I wouldn't mind the Taurus Judge but no one has it and I dont have the money right now.
-
Walther P22. Sadly I sold it :'( I want another one.
-
My first was a Ruger P97 in .45 ACP. I liked it, but I like my 10mm Glocks better.
-
Unattractive, sturdy, reliable Glock 19....Kinda like me! (cept I'm a lng way away from 19)
I'm wearing it as I type.
-
My First Handgun was a Ruger GP100 .357 Magnum :)
It was a Beauty !
-
XDm 9mm 3.8" - 2000+ rounds and still Reliable and Rockin!
-
Sig P226 in 1985.
-
Walther PPS 9mm. Fantastic little handgun!
-
Of course my ruger SR9. I never wanted anything else. Have no intention of buying a different pistol. I'm a "made in USA" Ruger guy.
-
The day I turned 21 I went and bought a Ruger 22/45. Ended up selling it a few years later and I still regret it.
-
Satin nickel Colt Combat Commander. Sold it 30 years ago. Now I've been sucked into the Glock Black Hole :o Never underestimate the power of the dark side 8)
-
S&W 586 6 inch barrel .357 Mag ;D
-
First one was a Smith & Wesson .22 2206 with rosewood grips. They dont make it anymore. I sold it for more than I paid so I was happy. Still happy I sold it.
Moosie
-
First was a Ruger single six with a 22lr and 22 mag cyl's. Still have it and need to send back to Ruger for the update.
-
Hmmm, having a hard time remembering that far back. Too many have passed through. I suppose it might have been a Ruger 22 or maybe......

As a courtesy, here's your memory jogger. It was a new 1860 Colt 44 that you were issued. :). Same as mine.
-
The first gun I bought from a friend was a Star .45 modified 1911.
I still have a Star 9mm (largo) 1911. So far I have been able to get ammo but I don't know for how long.
-
Ruger Standard .22 but sold it at college.
-
My first handgun was a 38 special police issue revolver. Still enjoy it as it is my only revolver that I own
-
it was and still is a Taurus Judge 3" magnum the piece i put in the nitestand for a good nites sleep long before i even considered carrying 8)
-
Wow.... I almost hate to admit this but the first three handguns were purchased fairly close together 30 some years ago, like a month or so after I had my first real job. A .36 cal steel frame Colt Navy repro percussion followed by a 1927 Colt Police Positive in .38spl (which I still have and actually love to shoot on occasion - great trigger). Then came the the little Spanish made .22 rim-fire semi-auto which I didn't like and sold. I'm left handed and it tended to spit the spent brass right back at my forehead so, it went to someone else. Since then it has been a odd collection of mostly revolvers in both single and double action and couple of 9mm semi-autos. I've never really had the money to spend on the exotic high end semi-autos or the big calibers but I get to shoot them from time to time by way of friends. They're certainly fun to shoot but I still like my wheel guns. Yes, I know, I'm stuck in the past with ancient technology.

I just received a email from my son in Wisconsin. He purchased a Walther PK 380 yesterday. Anybody have any experience with that gun. Comments?
-
Strum I don't have any experience with th PK380 but have a few PPQs, PPSs & a PPK. All are fabulous firearms and trust worthy. The PPQ is my EDC with the wife toting the PPS usually. Walther has always made a great firearm and I'd imagine the PK380 is the same.
Everything you need to know about the PK380 can be found on the Walther Forums under the PK380 section and the FAQ subsection.

Love my Walther's. ;D

Browning Buckmark Camper, followed shortly by my CZ75 Compact .40. The latter is still my preferred nightstand gun.
