Why is the Project Gunwalker Scandal Being Ignored by the MSM?

You don't here much about this in the press.

* ATF management was allowing potentially hundreds of semiautomatic firearms to be walked across the Mexican border in order to pad statistics used to further budget and power objectives.
* Mexican authorities were kept in the dark, and protests that they should be informed were overridden, first by the Phoenix ATF office, and ultimately by higher-ups in Washington, DC.
* A gun used in this operation was involved in a December 2010 incident in which a Border Patrol agent was killed.

Aft 60 Minutes ran this story it has gotten attentino.  There is a new twist as speculation arises that suggests this is a plot by the Obama administration to undermine gun laws by first creating a situation where guns are allowed to cross the border into the hands of Mexican gangs and then blaming our lax guns laws for allowing the gangs to get these same guns.

On television, in various news outlets, and even in a joint appearance with Mexican President Felipe Calderon, Obama pushed the 90 percent lie, implying that 90% of the guns recovered in Mexican cartel violence came from U.S. gun shops.

At the same time they were damning gun dealers in public, the administration was secretly forcing them to provide weapons to the cartels, by the armful and without oversight. More than one gun industry insider suggests that the administration extorted cooperation and silence from these gun shops

As there is a pattern of behavior to suggest that Gunwalker was not a botched law enforcement operation, but was instead an effort by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder’s Justice Department to carry out a subversive anti-gun policy of the Obama administration, it is pertinent to examine Obama’s past associations with anti-gun groups.

Hawkeye, are you sure?  LOL   I can't say I'm surprised.  Nope, not surprised at all.  Wouldn't be surprised either if it were true.

It seems that Fast & Furious, as Project Gunwalker is known, is not the only operation of this type.  The Tampa ATF has been doing the same thing, allowing straw purchases of guns to go to Honduras and to the gang MS13.  Their operation is called Operation Castaway. 

It is ironic that the Obama administration is putting requirements on gun shop in the four states bordering Mexico to report large gun purchases while it seems the largest group of straw purchasers are government informers and plants.
