It makes perfect sense.
One of the arguments I've seen against it is that it is that the video is not "carry permit" material.
But neither are Hunter Safety, NRA classes, or DD214...but most states that require training accept those.

The only thing my DD-214 says is that I scored expert on M-16 & M-9. If I didn't earn that ribbon and device, it wouldn't say anything about whether I qualified or not.
