QUESTION ABOUT STATE AND/OR FEDERAL
« on: April 10, 2013, 04:50:22 PM »
If a Bill passes the House but does NOT pass the Senate can the same Bill be voted on in the Senate years later or is there a time limit. Same for if the Senate passes the Bill. This is for State and U.S Bills.

at the federal level it has to be during the same session. I am pretty sure that is the same in teh state level as well, but I am not 100% on the state level

You are right. If a bill doesn't pass both houses in the samer session it is DOA. It may however be brought back by introducing it as a new bill with a new number in next or later sessions.
