Post by: Tonym on April 15, 2017, 03:00:44 PM

Yes you are good to carry it is a county park I would not go to that park without my firearm.  After all you are going concealed and who is going to know anyway unless feces hits the fan and you have to protect your life.   I would much rather be judged by 12 than carried by six.

I carry when I go to the Glasgow dog park, but if you're looking for a good place for dogs, I recommend the Dog park in Middletown on Levels Rd off of Rt 301. 5 acres for the big dogs and 3 acres for the little dogs plus doggie drinking fountains. I carry there and I know I'm not the only one.

By the way, 301 north of Middletown is a mess.

Lumspond State Park also has a dog park. You enter the opposite end of Buck Jersey Road (eastern end). After you pass the homes, you make the left and park in a small lot. Then a short hike. Couple of picnic tables and the pond to swim in is all thats there.

My dog splashed around in a creek one time on her own for about 12 seconds and never went back

I recommend you don't go in the first water spot. The water can be a little unhealthy. I used to hose my dog down when we got home after swimming there. Go to the second or third entrance to the water.

I don't go there anymore now that I carry. It is a State Park.

Glasgow is a county park. Not a state park.  County does not have authority to ban firearms.
