For shotgun i use a MEC 9000. for large amoumts I use my dillon 650xl. And for small amounts of specal rounds I use 2 Lee single stage presses.
-
Are you able to reload 45ACP?
-
yes
-
I may need some assistance after tomorrow. I will save my brass.
-
For shotgun I use a Lee load all. Its a single stage and slow but my 4 year old likes to help me so I don't want to buy a new one and leave him out. I use a Dillon square deal for 45 and 9mm. I've been thinking about moving up to a 550 or 650 but can't decide. About how many an hour can you churn out with yours?
-
If I have everthing ready I can crank aprox. 600 to 700 rnds an hour
no problem sig you let me know

@@@@! Any suggestion for reloading 223? That woudl be the main reason for me to upgrade but do you know of any cheaper ways to feed my AR without buying a new press and trying to sell Sig my square deal?
-
look out for millitary brass if you are not careful you will break your decap pin. 223 are fun to load I use 55gr bullets 21.3 grns. of imr 4198 and any brass i can get my hands on
-
any inexpensive press that you can think of?
-
The most inexpensive presses are the LEE presses. Just remember.... you get what you pay for.
I use a Dillion 550 for 9mm, 45acp, 38 special, 357magnum, and 44magnum.
I use a LEE hand press for 44 colt, and 45 colt.
For Dies I prefer Lyman carbide dies.
I have had LEE dies but found them to be less than adaquate. >:(
I bought the LEE hand press back when I was loading 43 spanish and 45-70.
If I had it to do over, with the intent to keep price down, I would go with the single stage hornady lock and load press.

Thanks
I like my square deal and you can't beat Dillons warranty service but the SDB will only load handgun. I was thinking of moving upto the 550 so that I could have evrything in one press but I hate to spend the money. A small single stage for the 223 would work, I don't shoot the AR enough to need to crank out 500 rounds in a sitting.

The other fun part of reloading is casting your own bullets.
