Patiently Waiting
« on: September 03, 2015, 12:53:05 AM »
Just hit 50 days on with CCW Wait-o-Meter, looking forward to joining all of you proud card-carriers!

Question: I'm sure this has been asked but, does it help to call for a status check, or would that just ensure you go back to the end of the line?

I called, and I don't think that caused me to go to the end of the line.  I don't think calling does anything, but tell you where you are in the process.  I don't think there is malice in how long it takes, I just don't think timelines is a priority to them.

A tried and true method that may still be workable is to send an email with the subject "CCDW Inquiry" to Dale.broome@state.de.us

It took me 16 weeks both times I did it, in NCC. Never called.
About to do it again in a few months.

140+ days and counting I emails Dale she was very nice and gave me updates as it was going thru the process all I'm waiting on now is some policy that Dale said is being reviewed b4 they can mail mine and 200+ others off. Wish I knew what the policy is that she is referring to but she couldn't give me that answer so I'm patiently waiting.... 😡😡LOL

Good Morning Everyone,

Got off of a night shift just now and went to the mailbox to find my license waiting for me  Grin

I dropped off my application and materials to the prothonotary on 7/14/15 and my license was sent back to me on 10/14/15 (92 days).

Happy and proud to join the rest of you, cheers!

Seeing the posts this week, looks like a large number were mailed out.  What policy was reviewed still a mystery.
