Warning shots are legal is some states and some situations. I think its a poor idea.
Bringing a gun into a situation should be a last resort.

Warning shots seem to indicate an intruder is leaving, in which case the danger is not imminent .
If a intruder has not made entry yet there is no danger. Warning shots are a bad idea from my point of view. Besides the "intruder" may not actually be and intruder and may call the cops to arrest you for shooting in his direction. In which case you go to jail, not them.

Didn't Biden recommend a couple warning shots with a shot gun to scare some one off?
-
Biden is a "BOZO".
-
The genius even suggested shooting through the door.

That's our Joe. Absolute buffoon, but if things were just a little different, he would be in the White House today.

I know years ago, up in Canada, Warning Shots were required by federal law. The funny part of the law was that originally it didn't actually stat before or after you shot the person! ;D It was amended years later after a guy shot and killed an intruder then fired a warning shot that went through a wall and struck a pedestrian thought thankfully didn't kill them. Since then it was law to fire a warning shot first before shooting someone.
The fact that firing a warning shot still struck an innocent flew right over law makers heads .... ::)
