New member in Kent County here.
I filed my application and paperwork yesterday.
The girl at the Prothonotary's office said 5-8 weeks to hear something.
Fingers are crossed.
-
Good luck, 5-8 weeks would be sweet! Are you sure she didn't say 5-8 months?

Lol! Yeah. She said weeks.
The receptionist said 4-6 months, but then the woman that took everything said more like 5-8 weeks.
She said they're wrapping up the renewals, so new timeframes should be much shorter.
I hope she's correct!

Welcome to the group

Good luck on the 5-8 weeks. Mine took 12 weeks and it seemed like 6 months. Congrats on filing, hope all goes well.

Welcome aboard !

Well, my check cleared yesterday.
Don't know if that shows anything time wise, but it's something.

In NCC mine took 6 weeks after the check cleared. Hopefully sooner for you. Hang in there.

My check cleared in NCC on March 2 and I am still waiting.
-
Kent county tends to be a bit quicker typically.
Hopefully mine won't be an exception!
I know renewals were tying things up a bit.
-
5 to 8 weeks! I hope so! I've been waiting for 7 weeks.
-
Well, 11 weeks so far and no word of anything.
None of my references have been contacted either.
Is there even any way to check or do I just keep waiting?

Fun ain't it. Lol. Thursday will be 17 weeks for my wife and I. Also Kent. My wife called a couple weeks ago just to make sure everything was ok because we were told when we filed that we would hear something by about 60 days. She got an answering machine and left a nice message, not complaining, just wondering. Never got a call back. I try not to even think about it anymore. I carry at home AIWB to get use to it and for now that will have to do. I keep checking back here to see if anyone got theirs to kind of see what the new wait time will be but I haven't seen anyone getting them lately. Oh well...
-
Yeah. I'm kind of in the same boat.
I really haven't been thinking about it much, but I'm anxious to hear something.
-
Don't get too excited. I submitted my application on Feb. 12th and still nothing. I've called a couple of times and got no help. I don't think they really care about service to the public.
-
Wow; February?!?
That's ridiculous. I wonder why she even bothered telling me a time frame at all.
Also, I don't see what the big deal is that it should take so long anyway.
-
Small update; received a call from the investigator wanting my driving abstract from NY.
I sent her an email with it the next day and she told me that she "signed off" on it.
I'm not sure what this means time frame wise, but at least something is moving!
-
Good news. We look forward to having you in the Unorganized Militia.
-
Lol. Count me in!
-
Finally got it today!
The start date on it is May?!?
Lol

Safe Carry to you !
-
Worth the wait. Carry safe. Congratulations.
-
Thanks guys.
I'm glad to finally have it.
Still trying to find my preferred carry method.
