Taking the drive to go get my PA LTCF. Any tips that will make it go smoothly? Thank you.

Park at a meter. You won't be there long.

If you go up 896 remember you pass through a 100 yards or so of Maryland. Best to take Chambers Rock road from Newark.  Otherwise you will probably take 41.   You can carry in your vehicle in PA on the way up but not concealed on foot.  On the way back you will be golden as you will have your LTCF!!

Doesn't PA only allow OC in a vehicle if you have your LTCF? Perhaps I'm reading this incorrectly or its changed since a year ago.

You may carry in a vehicle with a license from any state irregardless of if PA had repricocity with that state.  In that Falcon Guy already has his Delaware he could carry in his vehicle on the way up. But not concealed on foot.

See exemption 11 in attached link:

I appreciate the education, but this is the first I've heard of this. Probably a good reason why we need Constitutional Carry across the US.

The vehicle exemption has been law for a long time.
Basically if you read it, it is illegal to carry a firearm concealed on the person or to even have it in your vehicle unless you meet one of the exemptions.  To confuse things even more, for purposes of this law a " firearm" is a handgun. Rifles and shotguns are not considered firearms in this part of PA law.

If you are carrying a firearm ( handgun) in a vehicle and you do not meet one of the exemptions you have committed a crime. As for carry in a vehicle concealed or open matters not at all it is illegal unless you meet one or more of the specific exemptions.

I  got my Delaware permit yesterday & went to Lancaster today, I parked in front of the courthouse and walked out with my Pa. permit in 16 minutes and there were two guys ahead of me.
